Our client, Exacer s.r.l., based in Italy, specializes in shaping catalyst carriers made from metal oxides such as alumina, silica, titania, or zirconia, as well as active catalyst materials. Furthermore, Exacer has developed a new mesoporous carbon black carrier that can be utilized in current API, pharmaceutical, and fine chemical production, as well as in new applications like CO2 removal and conversion, hydrogen production, and more. A key advantage of this new carbon carrier is its ability to enable transition from existing, expensive batch processes to cost-effective continuous flow applications.

All applications share the characteristic that a new catalyst isn't simply a drop-in replacement; it requires a significant development phase at the end-user. Consequently, our primary target audience in Japan consists of researchers involved in corporate R&D, focusing on either process or catalyst development. A scientific conference is the ideal venue to connect with these esteemed individuals.
From March 12 to 14, 2025, we showcased Exacer's product portfolio at the 90th Conference of the Society of Chemical Engineers Japan, held at the prestigious Tokyo University of Science, Katsushika Campus. We engaged in fascinating discussions with researchers and encountered numerous companies interested in collaborating with us on projects aimed at developing future chemical processes that are cost-, energy-, and resource-efficient.
